This is a reminder for any pre-med or pre-dent students who are planning to apply to medical or dental school this year and would like a committee letter in support of their application.
Below I have pasted the initial email that went out on January 30. It contains details and the link to the form we need you to fill out and submit. All forms must be submitted by Friday, February 19. If you have already submitted the form, there is no need to do so again.
There have been some questions about how to calculate your science (BCPM) GPA, since Texas State does not do that for you, and so I have attached some guidelines for those that need them.
Again, let me reassure anyone who is planning to apply this year who is advised by Dr. Pesthy – all is well! Dr. Pesthy plans to return to work in time to write each and every one of your committee letters. All interviews will be recorded, thus she will have access to all your paperwork and your interview (plenty of details to come about that in the application workshop!!!), plus she has her own notes from previous advising appointments, so she will have no trouble writing your committee letters. I am available by email for individual questions you may have.
