All,
Here is a follow up I received today regarding the Tour4Diversity/TMDSAS programming this week. This one has links and some additional information. You can see that they are recording the sessions and will post them on the TXHES YouTube channel if you wished you could attend but cannot.

Subject: [TAAHP] THIS WEEK: #BIPOCinMed Tour4Diversity in Medicine Partnership with TXHES
Good morning, advisors!
We’re excited to share our partnership with Tour4Diversity in Medicine to host two exceptional Courage Sessions with panels of BIPOC physicians (BIPOC stands for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) as part of the #BIPOCinMed series! These doctors will share their experiences and perspectives as they’ve worked their way toward realizing their goal of becoming a doctor, and will share feedback on how aspiring physicians can create their own path.
The Courage Sessions will take place at 7pm CST to allow more students to attend and ask questions of our panelists live through the TXHES Facebook page. Recordings of these sessions will be available on our YouTube channel by the end of the week.
Session Topics:
- Wednesday, November 18: Applying and Choosing Schools through TMDSAS
- (Will go live at: https://www.facebook.com/txhes/posts/689556925022657)
- Thursday, November 19: Being a Texas Doctor
- Will go live at: https://www.facebook.com/txhes/posts/689560115022338)
Please forward this invitation to your students – we’re looking forward to having some great turnout of Texas students to kick-start this national series for the Tour4Diversity team.
Best regards,
Enrique
